A Survay on the Genus Salmonella Organisms Identified In Fowls

Abstract
|
|
|
During the period from April 1st to September 30th, 1970, 444 sample fowls which were sent to Poultry Section, Veterinary Research Laboratory for diagnosis of illness were examined for detecting Salmonella Organisms.
The results obtained were as follows;
1. It was known that 7 fowls (1.57%) had Salmonella Organisms.
2. From four of them, the Sal. Decaturs which were belonged to Sal. Group C were detected.
3. From one fowl, the Sal. Enteritidis of Sal. Group D. was isolalated.
4. From one of them, the Sal. Newbrunswick of Group E was detected.
5. The Strain detected from another one fowl was known as Sal. Group E but the species was unidentified.
